We
have 8 registered residential care houses. As well as
adhering to the Abbeyfield principles of care that apply
to very sheltered
houses, these offer:
- 24-hour
personal care
- Assistance
with bathing, mobility, dressing, washing etc
-
Houses designed and staffed to meet the care needs
of our residents
The registered residential care houses offer additional
support to residents who are perhaps too frail to
maintain their ideal lifestyle in the less supported
very sheltered
houses. Social support for older people staying
at home is not always an option - domiciliary care,
provided by local authorities, averages less than
3 hours per week.
