WHERE
WE ARE
North Berwick is an attractive seaside town twenty five miles east of Edinburgh
overlooking the Firth of Forth. Our large period house is located in a quiet residential
area of the town, set within an attractive garden overlooking the West Links golf
course and the sea to the north. There is a bus stop close to the House and good
train and bus services into Edinburgh.
ACCOMMODATION
We provide very sheltered accommodation
for 6 residents: three rooms are on the ground floor and three are on the first
floor. Access to the first floor can be gained by a stair lift for the less agile.
All the rooms are en-suite and the public rooms include a sitting room with TV
and a dining room where residents have lunch and supper cooked and served by the
resident housekeeper. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and tumble
dryer.
RESIDENTS
Our residents are encouraged to live independent lives, coming and going
as they please, but the Resident Housekeeper, backed by a committee of volunteers,
is there for help and advice when needed. Residents are free to welcome friends
and relatives, and a friendly atmosphere within the house gives residents a real
sense of well-being and security.
