Welcome to Abbeyfield Atholl

to the Abbeyfield Atholl Society

"Sunnybrae", 158 Atholl Road, Pitlochry, PH16 5AR

The Very Sheltered accommodation at Sunnybrae offers individuals over 65 a friendly home environment where they are supported to maintain their independence in their later years.
There are 6 en suite rooms, and one with a bathroom adjacent. Facilities include a Stannah Stairlift, a Personal Alarm system, and a Secure Entry system.

As in most Abbeyfield Houses, residents come together twice a day for meals in the dining room, cooked by the resident housekeeper.
Residents furnish their own rooms and prepare their own breakfast.

While Sunnybrae does not offer personal or nursing care, we do facilitate visits by the district nurse, and residents also use "Home Helps". The house suits residents who are relatively fit and able to look after themselves, but it is the live-in housekeeper that makes Abbeyfield special. She has a small flat in the house. She prepares two meals a day, makes sure the house is well kept and organised, and that the residents are content and well. Abbeyfield housing support services have been developed over a number of years to allow individuals to maintain their independence in a secure and private home environment. Companionship is always available if you want it – it’s one of the positive aspects of Abbeyfield housing.

Moving house can be a big decision. Why don’t you come along with a relative or friend to find out what is on offer? You would be able to meet the other residents and get their views on their home. Take time to look around and get all the information you need before making a decision.

We welcome the opportunity of meeting applicants, and of showing them round Sunnybrae. Trial visits are always an option. For an appointment, or just a friendly chat, please telephone:

Mr David Macpherson (01796 473626)

or

Mr Graham Holmes (01796 473153)
